Out of the Blue
Like all great love stories,
It began with a sudden rush,
Of blood to the head, a pause.
As if my heart missed its’ pulse.
It is always a mystery,
Why things as impulsive as these,
Catch you off balance, unawares.
But my soul felt a mate.
For as my eyes could see,
What my inner being could feel,
Was melting me in age old stirrings.
The blue of loneliness was leaving.
From different sides of the globe,
Our bodies now closer than ever,
My aching heart knew a truth.
Our souls had kissed once more.
